Where do I even start with Maggie and Scott's wedding at Southern Hills Country Club. This was a weekend full of events that blew us all away. Designed by the ever so talented Annie Brady Designs. This wedding was not only the biggest that Annie had put on (be sure to check out her work if you haven't, because it is insane), but it was for her daughter and new son-in-law. So they held nothing back in design, and experience.
The couple had met in New York, and decided to do the wedding back home in Tulsa. So Annie and the team wanted to really help people feel welcomed into 'Tulsa Time'. The weekend started for us at a brunch with just the girls at The Philbrook Museum of Art. The flowers, the smells, the ambiance, it was the start of what would be one of the most lovely weddings I have ever been part of.
That evening was a welcome party like none I have ever seen, at Spain Ranch. A true Oklahoma themed event, with all the fixins, this party was lit. Literally, it was lit with so many hanging bulbs, gobos, marquee letters, so many amazing details. One thing to note, when working with Annie Brady, is the incredible level of detail she goes with to serve her couples. Every little detail matters, and helps create the magic that they do. The welcome party and rehearsal dinner at Spain Ranch was filled with custom branded cowboy hats, a true country band, barbecue, a custom designed bar, vintage trucks, ropers, and so many more details. AND THAT WAS JUST THE WELCOME PARTY.
The next morning was the wedding day, and it was truly special. Not only was the ceremony at their home, but they got ready there as well. The PERFECT setting. When they were planning, the only thing missing was a ceremony location for the wedding. So Maggie's dad planted grass and cleared part of their land to build the perfect meadow, "Maggie's Meadow" for the wedding. The flowers were everywhere, the setting was breathtaking for the ceremony.
I don't have enough words to describe the magic that was created for the reception. They brought in two special tents, with custom printed floors, hanging chandeliers, so many cozy areas for sitting and eating, custom EVERYTHING, literally everywhere you looked, was something more magical and beautiful.
But you know what is incredible about this event? It wasn't about all of the 'stuff.' It was about Annie creating magic for her daughter. Their family was what mattered most, and you could tell. The relationships between mother and daughter, husband and wife, father and family, brother and sister, all of the people we saw were absolutely there to serve and help Maggie and Scott have the best time.
I could go on and on about how perfect this luxurious tented wedding at Southern Hills was, but I think I will just let the video tell the story. I can tell you this, editing this wedding was like editing 3 weddings, so I hope you enjoy how I put it together.
