Frequently Asked Questions

I take bookings up to 24 months ahead of time for weddings. Most of my bookings are between 12-15 months before the wedding, but I have booked weddings with as little as 3 months before the big day. But, with my limited number of commissions, I say if you know you love my films, book me like today. Each year I book out and have many people wishing they would have reached out earlier.

I love photos, don’t get me wrong, but there is just something about being able to push play and see motion. To hear voices. It is just an entirely different experience. Video does something that you don’t realize until after the day. It captures the entire essence of the day.

When Should I Hire A Filmmaker?

Yes, I always bring someone with me to assist. Depending on the day, I decide how long I need them there. Most of the time, I have 2 filmmakers the entire day. It is rare that I don’t need one, but if there is an intimate setting, or unique circumstance, it can just be me.

100%. I actually set up a few meetings (most of the time via zoom) before the wedding day. I like to know all of the details, help with the timeline to ensure we have enough time for everything, and really get to know you before the big day.

I get it. Some have sticker shock with the price of video. But to be honest, you get what you pay for. I always tell people if they can find someone at a better price, and they like them better, to go for it with hiring them. I have continued to raise my prices as I have gotten better at my craft, upgraded to the highest quality gear (I am usually bringing upwards of $40,000 in equipment), continued education to always be getting better, and more. But the truth of the matter is that you get 1 chance to do this right. Are you going to trust that friend of yours to do it right? I could go on and on, but I pour my heart and soul into the entire process from beginning to end. My couples see that value and continue to send their thank you’s even after the wedding day.

I don’t book any couples until I have had the chance to at least have a phone call. I have been doing this too long to make that mistake again. I want to see if we are a good fit. So to reserve me, we do a simple 10-15 minute call, and then I have a reservation fee that goes toward the final balance to hold your day!

More questions?

I'm here to answer them. Shoot me a message with any questions you have.

Absolutely. I am fully covered and can provide documentation if your venue needs it.

I do a reservation fee, then break up the balance into payments leading up to the wedding day. The full balance is due to be paid off 30 days before the wedding day.

We have packages starting with 1 shooter, plus a highlight film. We also have packages that include 2 shooters, if need be.

We average around 3 months, but our contract says within 6 months, unless otherwise notified.

Yes! Simply put, we are covered. Always ask your vendors if they carry insurance, and if they are licensed to be doing work in the state. You would be surprised at how many people go buy a camera and call themselves “professionals.”

Absolutely! We want to meet with you and get to know you! It helps us, and even makes our job easier when we can sit down and get to know our couples and really listen to how they envision their big day! It’s our job to tell the story, so the more we can learn about you, the better!

Of course we do! We have filmed hundreds of weddings now, and have had the privilege to get to know several wedding professionals. We only recommend the vendors we can trust.

We started in 2007. We have shot well over 500 weddings at this point. We can’t believe how fast the time has flown by, and how many amazing couples we have had the honor of working with over the years! We try to limit video to 20-30 weddings per year.

Heirlooms. That is our style. What does that mean? We want to give you an heirloom of your story, of your day. Each couple is different, but our style is to tell that story uniquely in a way that means something to you.

The vast majority of wedding videographers illegally use music that is not licensed to be put into their films. We have access to a music licensing company that we can use to purchase licenses on songs. We are up for suggestions, but in 10 years, haven’t had a single couple ask for a different song than the one we picked out.

We honestly will never sell you anything you don’t need. That is why we have so many 5-star reviews. But, we won’t let the day happen without you knowing fully that you are getting everything you need. We will help you see what is important, and what isn't.

The truth is you only get 1 chance to do it right. Your wedding video is one of the only items you get to take away with you from your wedding day. You can’t go back and get more footage, or better audio once it happens. Are you going to really trust your uncle to do that for you?
