About the event:

Molly and Andrew’s Lake Placid, New York wedding was intentional, grounded, and deeply centered on family. Set in the heart of the Adirondacks, their wedding weekend brought together loved ones from all over to celebrate in one of the most meaningful places in their lives.

The weekend unfolded throughout Lake Placid, with friends and family gathering around Mirror Lake before the wedding day. Their ceremony took place at The Range, a location closely tied to their story, followed by a tented reception at River Ranch in Lake Placid. Surrounded by mountains, trees, and early fall air, the setting felt elevated while still staying true to who they are.

Lake Placid holds deep significance for Molly and Andrew. It is a place filled with outdoor adventures, family time, and memories built over years together. Choosing to get married here meant inviting everyone they love into a place that already felt like home.

The entire day was guided beautifully by Elexis and the team at Placid Planner. Their calm presence, thoughtful coordination, and attention to detail allowed the day to unfold naturally and without stress, creating space for real moments to happen.

It was also a joy to work again with Mountainaire Gatherings for the second time. Their eye for light, composition, and storytelling pairs seamlessly with how I approach wedding films, and collaborating again in a place as stunning as Lake Placid made the experience even more special.

Family was at the heart of everything. Having grandparents present, including Molly’s beloved grandmother Baba, made the day especially meaningful. From handwritten vows to a sparkler exit at the end of the night, every moment felt lived in rather than staged.

If you are planning a Lake Placid wedding, a River Ranch wedding, or searching for a luxury Adirondack wedding film, this day is a perfect example of what happens when a wedding is built around place, people, and presence.

Molly and Andrew, thank you for trusting me enough to invite me into a place and a weekend that meant so much to you. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly and allowing me to document a celebration that was deeply personal and incredibly joyful. It was an honor to tell your story in Lake Placid.
