Gabbie and Brandon’s Elopement in Broken Bow | Elopement Video
Well, I just have to say that I am completely blown away by this wedding. We tried something completely different, and I LOVE how it turned out. When Gabbie first asked us to film her wedding, she was planning the big 200+ guest wedding in the fall. A few months later, she called and said she didn’t want to do the wedding in the fall, and wanted to do something more intimate in the new year. So we suggested an elopement in Broken Bow, and she actually took our advice! After we got to know her a bit, we realized that a big party wasn’t going to be what made her happy. Instead, she wanted something way more intimate with just close friends and family. Like 15 people total.
Her family got us an incredible cabin for the weekend, and we spent the night before the wedding getting some amazing footage of the couple down by the dam. (See the video for what we mean by amazing footage). The video was super important to them, and they let us do pretty much whatever we wanted. Full creative freedom to make them something they would enjoy forever. So that is exactly what we did.
The day was so simple, and so perfect. We seriously had no stress whatsoever. When there are only 15 people involved, they are all more than willing to really let you get what you need. From the getting ready, to the amazing first look on the side of a hill, to a sweet ceremony in front of their family, this day was simply perfect. Not only that, Gabbie and Brandon treated us like family.
Now to talk about their vows. They decided to do these alone, instead of in front of their friends and family. Just them, and us of course. So intimate. So personal. We are still so in love with how they did everything. It was so much fun hiking around the Oklahoma mountains, searching for daylight, and soaking in this perfect weekend. We had such a blast working with these two, and can not wait for you to see this film!
Gabbie and Brandon,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the full creative freedom on your wedding. I think it fits your personalities perfectly, and can’t wait for you to share this with the friends and family who couldn’t be at the wedding. If ever you need me for anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I seriously consider you family.
John
