We are lucky enough to have the opportunity to film and photograph some amazing weddings all over the country. So we wanted to start creating reviews of some of the local venues that we get to work with on a regular basis, so that you can learn a little more about what they can offer for your wedding day!
Spain Ranch has been open since Fall of 2015, and we got the opportunity to film this venue’s very first wedding! Be sure to check out Matt and Linda’s video below!
From the moment that we began filming here, we knew that we LOVED this place. We have to get creative with some venues when it comes to finding the best spots to shoot in order to make the video/photos look their best. Not at Spain Ranch! Every corner of this space is beautiful! Here is our review of this Oklahoma venue, with a list of as many things as we can think of to help you in planning your wedding!
Location
Spain Ranch is located in Jenks, Oklahoma, which is about 5 minutes off of the Creek Turnpike. Because of the location, it’s easy to get to from pretty much anywhere in town. We have been a part of a few weddings where the couple chose to have a ceremony downtown, and then the reception at Spain Ranch. It takes about 20 – 25 minutes to get to the reception from the downtown area.
Parking
Spain Ranch has a paved 1-lane road that leads guests from the main road to the barn area! Where the road ends, there is a circle drive directly outside of the doors to the venue, and a parking lot connected to it. The parking lot is a little on the smaller side, and it fills up quickly! For this reason, they offer a valet service with staff members who will take your car and park it for you around the back side of the property, where there are extra spots. The valet service is very convenient for guests that are arriving, but it can also cause a 5-10 minute wait after the reception ends if everyone leaves at around the same time.
Staff
The entire Spain family is so great to work with! They will do anything they possibly can to make sure that you have an amazing event. Spain Ranch is a family-run venue, and you really can tell. It’s very obvious how much they care about their brides!
Bride Prep Room
There is the small room near the bathrooms that brides can utilize if they please! Only about 3-4 people can comfortably fit inside of the room, especially if they are trying to get ready! Typically we will have one videographer, one photographer, the mother of the bride, and the bride in the room for those “putting on the dress” shots. There have been a couple of weddings where the bride has gotten her dress on in the room, and then moved to the reception area (while being very sure that no guests could accidentally walk in) to finish getting ready. The room is super cute, but not very functional if there are multiple bridesmaids or family members.

Groom Prep Room
Currently, there is no getting ready room for the groom. Which isn’t the worst thing in the world, because their getting ready doesn’t take as long, and can usually done at a different location before they need to be at the venue! However, this usually results in a bunch of groomsmen hanging out and having to wait for pictures to start!
Atmosphere
The look of a venue plays a large part in a bride’s decision to use it! Spain Ranch is absolutely beautiful. Every little detail about this venue makes it so photogenic. There is so much natural light in this space, which is accentuated by the barn’s white walls. It seems like each time we shoot here, we find more places to take pretty photos! There is a pond, but a small walk up a gravel path is required to get to it! However, they do have a golf cart on site that can be used for transport. They also have buffalo in a fenced in area on site (which make for some pretty awesome pictures), and lots of open space as you get closer to the entrance gate! Really you can go anywhere on the property and your photos would look amazing!

Cost
Currently, the pricing for the venue is $4000 for a Monday-Thursday, $5000 for a Friday or Sunday, and $6000 for a Saturday, you can also check here for most up to date pricing. They have off-season pricing ($500 off the price) for January and February. If you wish to use the venue for your entire wedding (not just for the reception), the ceremony add-on is $1500. There are a couple of additional fees, like a $500 refundable damage deposit due prior to the event, and a $250 security fee for events over 35 people. There are also special holiday rates. Dates are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis!
Capacity
The venue can hold up to 200 guests comfortably. The maximum capacity for an indoor ceremony AND reception is 150 guests. If there are more than 150 people, the outdoor space must be utilized for the ceremony and/or reception. Spain Ranch will not flip the ceremony space after the ceremony to provide excess reception seating.
Ceremony Locations
This venue has both indoor and outdoor options for your ceremony. We have seen weddings happen in two different areas outside, and there are multiple floorpans for brides who don’t want to take a chance with the weather! There’s a nice shaded area for smaller weddings outside of the back patio, as well as a larger grass field for bigger weddings. The indoor location is beautiful, and there’s also the option of opening up all of the glass doors to give it an indoor/outdoor feel! One of our couples, Braden and Kristina, had this particular ceremony set up, which can be seen in the video below! Matt and Linda’s wedding (the video at the top of the blog) was in the backyard by the patio.
Dayna and Jason had their ceremony outside in the big field (see below)!

Required Vendors
Spain Ranch provides a preferred vendor list, which means that they have vendors that they have had good experiences with and really enjoy having in their venue. If you would like to use a caterer that is not on their preferred list, a fee will be applied to your rental, and approval from their event director is required.
Rehearsal
The rental fee covers a one-hour rehearsal time slot. Rehearsal times are based on the availability of the venue. If an event is booked after you have chosen your rehearsal time, the booked event will take precedence and your rehearsal time will be rescheduled. Of course, they will notify you if this happens!
Reception
The reception space at Spain Ranch is fantastic! Most couples will have tables and chairs for their guests on one side of the venue, and a dance floor on the other. The venue is shaped like the letter “L” so, it’s pretty easy to separate the two spaces! We have seen the dance floor on either side of the barn, and it works just as well either way!
In Conclusion
Spain Ranch is one of the best venues we have ever worked with, and are so honored to be able to film and photograph there so many times each year! We couldn’t recommend this place enough. It is the perfect venue in so many ways, and we hope you think so too!
