When Brian called and asked if we would be willing to come out to Hawaii to film his proposal to Amber, we almost flipped! The fun part was that he gave us 8 days notice. Luckily we were able to move some things around so we could fly out to be a part of this absolutely breathtaking engagement.
He had told her they were going to Hawaii on an anniversary trip (this was their 1 year anniversary to the day). He walked her along the coast and pointed to a key that we had put at the bottom of a tree for him. It was the “key to his love.” About that time Amber noticed that we were taking videos and photos and began to wonder what was going on. A few moments later, as the sun was setting, Brian got down on one knee and had an amazing moment. Amber is Turkish-American, so Brian decided to learn how to propose in Turkish. She couldn’t stop looking at the ring, and was absolutely speechless.
The fun part for us was sneaking around all weekend trying to make plans without Amber realizing who we were. We even met up one time while she went snorkeling to scout locations. After the engagement, we were able to hang out in Hawaii a few more days, and even do dinner with Brian and Amber. Such a truly awesome couple, and we can’t wait to be a part of their wedding at Lake Tahoe in September!
