We were so excited to film Erin and Omar’s wedding at the Carondelet House in downtown Los Angeles. We met Erin at a wedding we were filming in Malibu last year. She was the photographer, and we absolutely loved her style. Not only was she super pleasant to work with, but she was really good at what she does (check out her work here). We really loved her style, as well as her genuine care for the bride and groom. A friendship began, and we kept in touch for the next few months. Once we found out she was getting married herself, we really hoped she would have us out for her wedding. Luckily, she wanted us to be there, so we had the honor of filming the big day.
This wedding was all about Erin + Omar’s deep love for one another. But the main thing that stood out to us all day long was “family.” Each of their families were very much involved with this couple. They all spoke during the wedding, and reception. They are a very tight knit group of people. It was so refreshing to see the way Erin and Omar looked at one another. Their vows, oh my goodness! When we heard their vows, it was hard for us to hold back the tears. Not only were they beautiful, but they were so meaningful, so personal, and so perfect. We decided to start and finish the video with Omar’s vows. Gentlemen, if you are looking for a great way to impress your wife on the wedding day, you may want to take not from Omar. His vows were absolutely stunning. The cool thing about this wedding is that it wasn’t just about the glitz and glamour (although it was a really nice event). It was about bringing two people together, to start a new life together, as one. This is why we do what we do. It is to see couples like Erin and Omar. To become friends with them through the process. To see two lives joined together.
