Sarah + Matt’s wedding was filmed in Northern California in a small town called Grass Valley. This was our first time traveling to Northern California for a wedding, and we were eager to check out this part of the country. We are good friends with Sarah’s sister Julia, and she flew us out to film the wedding as a gift for her sister, Sarah. One thing that we just love about California is the sunlight. Something about it just looks different than it does here in Oklahoma. Could be our imagination, but we just love the way it looks out west. When we arrived to start filming, Sarah was sitting out on the deck getting here makeup put on, as her mother watched. The atmosphere was completely relaxed and comfortable. The guys were all hanging out and having a good time in a cabin of their own. They had time to take some pictures in front of a Harley before the ceremony began. The ceremony was set underneath a shade tree with chairs on the lawn. The sun made its way through the leaves. When Sarah made her way down the aisle, her ring bearer and flower girl ran to meet her to hold her hands as she walked towards Matt. The ceremony was short and sweet and once the couple said their “I do’s” they made their way to one of the most amazing reception venues we have ever seen. As a wedding videographer, we are thrilled to shoot in new places. Especially if they are as gorgeous as this one was.  This barn was sparkling in the night. With mason jars and bistro lights hanging above, the stage was set for a beautiful wedding reception. Sarah and Matt danced the night away with friends and family as they started their new life together. They ditched the traditional wedding cake and went with a chocolate cheesecake. The moonlight was shining through the spaces in the wood of the barn. Family and friends spent the night celebrating. We were so happy to get to know Sarah and Matt, and wish them the best of luck as a married couple!
