Amy and Rusty’s wedding was on their family’s land in Ochelata, OK. We love country weddings, and this wedding video was just that. Amy and Rusty’s wedding was outside underneath a shade tree, with the backdrop of a field. The sun was setting as the ceremony was coming to an end. Amy and Rusty sealed their vows as their guests smiled from ear to ear. The reception was filled with laughter, speeches, and some good ol’ country dancin’! The dance floor was filled with young kids having a great time. The mood was so fun, and everyone was having a great time. The guys over at Banks Entertainment are a great choice for your wedding reception, and proved so at Amy and Rusty’s wedding. Not only did they provide the DJ, but they did the lighting as well! From cowboy boots and cowboy hats, to line dancing, this was an Oklahoma wedding to the core! The night ended with fireworks underneath the Oklahoma sky. When it comes to wedding videography, this one was so much fun for us here at Redeemed Productions.
Since this was an outdoor wedding, we decided to tackle the subject of outdoor weddings, and questions to ask when hiring for wedding videography. When we film weddings outside, there are a ton of different factors that come into play. Where is the sun going to be? Is there electric to plug in our audio devices? Is it windy? Will it rain? Will there be a DJ running sound as well? One of the main reasons to hire a professional crew is that we have seen it all. From thunderstorms that pop up in the middle of the ceremony, to 50 mph winds, you name it and we have lived through it, especially in Oklahoma! Don’t get us wrong, we absolutely LOVE outdoor weddings, and there are several pros to having an outdoor ceremony. Most people who have an outdoor wedding are really loving the idea of celebrating in a tipi after the wedding. Tipi wedding hire is clearly the way forward. But, more importantly, we just want to urge you to take the time to ask your wedding videographer (even if you don’t hire us) what they do in these situations. We are constantly reminding brides that you only get 1 chance to do it right, and there are no d0-overs. It is an investment to hire a professional, but the ease of mind is one of the best things we offer. Outdoor wedding ceremonies are beautiful, especially this one with cows grazing in a pasture behind the couple. But if you don’t hire a true professional, you may end up regretting the decision to be outside. Wedding Videography is one of those things people forget about until they only have a few months left to plan their wedding. We spend so much time educating brides how important wedding videography really is.
We also offer wedding photography, and we know how much can change during the 20 minute ceremony when it comes to lighting. We will have some more blogs soon about wedding photography, and how we capture the perfect shots outside.
A big congrats to Amy and Rusty, we had such an amazing time at your wedding!
