We were so excited to work with Kaitlin and Tommy for their wedding film. This wedding was filled with vendors that we love to work with. When we get the chance to work with Erica from Erica Weddings, we know that the bride and groom are going to be great to work alongside. And usually when we work with Erica, we know that there will be a ton of our favorite vendors there too! If we could give you any advice, please hire a professional to coordinate and plan your wedding. It will be one the best investments you make. The wedding industry is very social, and we all know one another quite well here in the Tulsa market. We have developed friendships over the years, and have learned to work really well with one another. There is nothing more frustrating to some of the more seasoned wedding pros, than to work with vendors that aren’t respectful to the other wedding vendors there that day. When you get a handful of the vendors that know each other on board, you really do build a team that is going to help you have a flawless wedding day.
Some of the biggest advice we could give, would be to ask your wedding planner, or your other vendors, who they recommend for the vendors that you don’t yet have. More importantly, ask them if there are any vendors that that recommend you for sure don’t hire. These are the people that are going to be putting on the biggest day of your life. You don’t want to take any chances. It is ok to look through your options to make sure that you have the right people on board. Ultimately, the wedding is your day, and you want to like the vendors that are going to be around you all day. If you love their photos, but think they are awkward, we’d recommend you find someone else.
Kaitlin + Tommy’s wedding video was so much fun to make. We have been editing with a new style, incorporating more of the vows into the film, and making it more cinematic. We are absolutely loving how the wedding videos are turning out. Not only have we completely changed our editing style, we have completely changed the way we capture your audio. See our blog on Aubrie + Matt to learn a little bit more of what all we have done with our audio. The wedding ceremony was held at Parish of Christ the King in Midtown Tulsa. The fall leaves were blowing outside, and it was a crisp cool day. The sun set as the ceremony was beginning. From the scripture readings, to the vows, everything about this wedding was pointed toward the love that Kaitlin and Tommy had for one another. One of our favorite moments came right after Kaitlin made it down the aisle. As tears welled up in her eyes, she was asked to “please stop crying” from the minister. Everyone laughed and the ceremony continued with much less pressure.
After the ceremony, the wedding party headed downtown, to The Summit Club. A beautiful setting as the city sparkled beneath them. The night was filled with dancing, laughing, and some great conversation. We were able to take the couple outside, about 40 floors up, and were able to get some stunning shots. Andrea Murphy Photography was amazing to work with as always, and was able to capture some great images with the sparkling city behind the couple. One other quick note would be event lighting. Zach Downing, with Empire Lighting, does a phenomenal job at creating a mood with lighting. It makes our jobs so much easier as the wedding videographer when we have simple, yet elegant lighting. A big thanks to the entire team for making this wedding video what it is. We couldn’t have done it without such an amazing team. The list of vendors for this wedding are listed below.
